Welcome to

The Curzon Gallery, situated in the beautiful village of Wimbledon, originated out of the Furneaux Gallery, and was founded in 1962 by Colonel Graham Abbott and his wife Sybil. Starting as an art materials shop, a professional artist and Royal Academy annual exhibitor, Donald Blake, asked Graham Abbott if he was interested in his paintings. In those days it was uncommon to show celebrated work outside the West End. The Colonel took on his paintings and sold them prodigiously from day one and the paintings continued to sell until Blake’s death in 1997.

The gallery today promotes the work of established professional artists as well as those still emerging. We also exhibit photography, prints, etchings and sculpture.
